Midsomer Design (“we”, “us”) designs, builds and looks after websites for small businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who else handles it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry through the form on this website, we collect the details you give us: your name and email address, and if you choose to include them, your phone number, your current website and anything you tell us about your business.
We don’t take payments on this website, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a call and, if you go ahead, provide our services to you. We don’t sell your personal information.
Who else handles it
This website relies on a few service providers, who handle information on our behalf:
- GitHub Pages hosts this website.
- Cloudflare runs the service that receives the enquiry form and passes it on to us.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this website. Your browser downloads them from Google, which receives your IP address when it does.
Like most online services, these providers may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser details, to keep their services running securely. Some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
How we look after it
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete it when we no longer need it.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Just get in touch using the form on our homepage and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
Concerns and complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
